What customers say?

“ I’ve had a hard time moving from a big city to Kelowna with the limited vegan options, and especially delicious vegan baked goods. However, I was blown away by the salty caramel kitchen and now can see myself going there every single weekend, despite the 30 minute drive from downtown. I had the sesame bagel roll, the egg sandwich, and the chocolate cake and everything was amazing! Nothing more to add! Everything was delicious and the prices were well within reason! ”

“ A complete plant based menu, the food is delicious. The vibe of the place is pleasant and loved the interiors. Their cappuccino (with oat milk) was outstanding. Got the grilled cheese sandwich with avocado and the hash bowl. Both of them had great flavors. The cherry on the cake is the location, situated right at pebble beach. The views outside the cafe is gorgeous. Great place to grab brunch and walk around. ”

“ We tried this adorable little restaurant today and it was amazing!! As someone who is not vegetarian, but health conscious, the whole menu was appealing. Everyone in my group ordered the Hash Bowl and it had great flavors! I loved how they had a nice crisp on the potatoes and you’d never know the delicious gooey cheese and bacon bits were plant-based. I’ve also tried the majority of plant-based eggs on the market, but the fried egg here was incredible! We also tried the Salty Caramel Latte (with oat milk) and a salted chocolate almond cookie, which were both delicious! Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you’re in Lake Country! ”

“ OMG! The CARROT cake here is out of this world! Absolutley enjoyed an oat milk latte and also had the chicken gyro - my partner had the chickpea lemon dill which was also incredibly tasty! I'm very happy we decided to pop in for lunch and honestly, this place has earned one of my 1,000 star reviews! The staff were all friendly and kind - patio atmosphere was great right next to the lake. We will for sure be coming back here again when we are back in the area! Highly recommend stopping in if you're nearby. ”

“ Loved our first experience at this beautiful little place! The food was good but not so much aligned with our taste. Regardless I’ll be back here for the beautiful location and the vibe! Breakfast options were limited. We got the egg fried sandwich and the hash bowl and liked the second one better. ”

“ On a friend’s recommendation, I visited a unique cafe in Lake Country right by the Okanagan shore. Recently, I’ve shifted to a diet excluding dairy and eggs, and this place delivered! Their menu offers creative alternatives: egg-free eggs, dairy-free cheese, and plant-based bacon. The taste, though unconventional, was delightful. The cafe has a warm, cozy atmosphere despite being quite busy. A perfect spot for anyone exploring plant-based options or looking for a unique dining experience. ”

“ Was it a Trick or Treat this All Hallows Eve 2025We left Lakestone community where we are staying as a guest and decided to take Okanagan Centre Rd North to our new to us home in Eagle Bay on Shuswap Lake. Are we pleased we did. Fall is a spectacular time to sight see in BC. The colours against the lake, the gorgeous lakeview properties, the orchards the vineyards. Wonderful. Unbeknownst to us we happened upon a quaint little community called Pebble Beach. Nestled in across from the beach is an eclectic little cafe called The Salty Caramel Kitchen. We pulled in immediately. Advertising a Baked Potato with Dill soup & a slice of heavenly multigrain bread as their special. We walked into a warm and inviting ambiance with a soft warm hint of music playing in the background. Patrons chatting and laughing in unison and a smiling welcome grin from the lovely Miss who took our order. The fresh baked cakes sitting on counter almost made me forget to order soup!! We sat down enjoyed the view of large colourful trees outside the windows and took in the vintage feel of the community. Then another friendly server brought us our soups. The smell of dill with this magical savoury soup had us on the edge of our seats excited to taste what we could smell. The nose knows!!! See what I did there Our taste buds were NOT tricked. They were treated to a sensational savoury soup! We had to order coffees to go. I ordered the awesome Autumn Spiced Fog and my husband chose the Brilliant Banana Espresso Latte. (Instead of chai he had espresso) both were so uniquely crafted and a nice addition to the gorgeous drive. We also ordered two slices of their in house baked German Pumpkin Spice Praline Cake. Now let me tell you something….wherever you are in Canada; start the car!!! Get in my mouth good. I’m telling you one of the most mouth watering moist & satisfying not overly sweet cakes I’ve ever had. We saved it to watch the 9th inning of the World Series game. It was well worth the detour off a spectacular drive to eat at The Salty Caramel Kitchen. Highly recommend. We saw two huge flocks of wild turkeys after we left the cafe for home. What a wonderful Halloween treat. ”
